Heard about this place from an Instagram foodie and it was worth the effort to get to. Tucked away in a residential neighborhood near the expressway, this place has a charming interior or chill backyard to enjoy some pizza and dessert. The Smokey & The Bandit pizza had subtle smoked flavor in the buffalo mozzarella cheese and bacon. Make sure to order the homemade cheesecake…its lighter than most. And the service was exceptional. Very personalized and attentive and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. Best part, you can bring your fur friends. She was treated as a welcome guest.

BEST SALMON SANDWICH IVE HAD IN NYC! Seriously, the service, the food and the place is just breathtaking! This is a little small mom and pop GEM! definitely will go completely out of my way to go back for more! I was in the area randomly and figured I was hungry and wouldn't really be back that way in the near future until I ate here !! Please please go there and eat!

What a great meal! Mark is a fantastic host and every single thing I ate was above and beyond delicious. I hardly ever post anything about restaurants, but this one is a hidden gem and deserves recognition. I will absolutely be stopping there again and frequently. Can’t remember the last time I had a meal this good and FRESH! Outstanding! Thank you to the two gentlemen that invited me. Highly recommend!! Oh, and a beautiful area to sit outside. Enjoy!

The attention to detail and the food was absolutely magnificent. Another important observation that many will enjoy is the atmosphere is very nice and beautiful. I will upload a few pictures I took when I was there, but I had to write something to improve the ratings for this location! Loved it, thank you all and staff for your hard work!

I absolutely loved the staff here. We were there for a private event in the back and it was a fantastic experience. Specifically Nate, Christa, Meg, Monica and Mac were impressive. They were personable, friendly and attentive. The food was great and the drinks were even better. I greatly appreciated how they balanced everyone having a great te with making sure that nobody got too messy. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for both privacy and a good time!

Burger was AMAZING!! I almost cried.
**update. I am still thinking about this burger. I may have told at least ten different people when asked “How was your trip to NY?” and my answer was, “It was pretty good.. I ate, possibly, the best burger I ever had in my life. It was a good trip”. I thought I would add this update because people NEED to know. Life is too short.**

Came by on a weekday morning for breakfast and I was thoroughly impressed.
Had the option of indoor or outside dining and after providing my info for contact tracing purposes, I was quickly seated inside. It's a decent sized place but I can see how it can packed quickly.
I ordered the oatmeal banana walnut pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. The pancakes were excellent. The different parts of the dish (oatmeal, banana, walnuts) complimented each other well and it was also more filling than I thought it would be. The scrambled eggs were good too.
Service was great too. I'll definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

More like a 4.0 star restaurant average. Fried chicken sandwich was heavily breaded and..fishy.
Korean Fried Chicken Wings were sauced heavily.
It’s in Herald/Times Squares area / so makes sense food is slightly below average. Drinks lightly take the rating higher.

I made my reservation for dinner (to be directly before a Broadway show) for our 6 year anniversary almost 2 1/2 months before our date. The first thing out of the hostesses mouth was that they'd changed their dinner hours since our reservation. Not sure how that's my problem. Luckily they made an exception and allowed us to eat dinner.
Dinner was sub par and honestly most of the food I cook at home is better. The Halibut was over cooked and under seasoned. The dish needed more sauce to make it palpable. The Lobster in the noodles dish was also VERY over cooked and needed more to balance out the amount if pasta. If we hadn't gotten desert I would have likely rated this establishment a 2.
However, their deserts were absolutely fantastic and I would return here JUST for the desert. 10 out of 10, perfection!
If you're going somewhere for a good meal I'd go somewhere else. The wait staff was friendly enough but I think because we were ‘out of time' they forgot about us a few times. They wanted money more than anything, charging $9 for a bottle of water.
Will not return … unless I'm crazing fantastic deserts!

Went over to Oceana for lunch. Made no reservation, but was able to be seated in the “cafe” area at a high top, which was perfect. Had a light & lovely lunch. The celery root soup with several yummy clams in the broth for a punch of ocean flavor, and the smoked salmon salad. My friend had the soft shell crab BLT and it was gone in a heartbeat.. she said it was delicious, and she doesn't lie about these things. Friendly & efficient wait staff, we were in and out of there during a very busy lunch crowd window in about 1 hr & 15 mins. We didn't feel rushed, not stuffed. Next time, i will try a cocktail! Will def go back. It was the perfect bite for lunch with a couple friends.

Menu is predominantly seafood, not crowded at all on a Monday night. We went for the “tasting menu” which is really more of a prix fixe version where you pick off the menu but make 4 courses out of it. Walked out feeling nicely full. The halibut had a beautiful golden crust and a surprisingly moist interior, perfectly cooked. Dessert was (unsurprisingly) terrific, especially the hint of cinnamon in the whipped cream.

Thoroughly enjoyed my wife s birthday at Capital Grille Broadway tonight Oct 21 2021🎂 . We were served by Michael who was very professional, personable, and made great suggestions as we were unsure which seafood to select for main dishes. The sushi grade tuna dinner was one of the best I've had and the Seabass was quite delicious.. Michael checked on us frequently to make sure we were content. The grille hostess welcomed my wife with a Happy Birthday when being seated. Michael surprised us with a complementary happy birthday dessert for my wife with the words Happy Birthday in chocolate. It was a great evening thanks to Michael and The GRILLE!!!

I want to begin this review by saying that the calamari here is to die for!! It was so good that we ordered more before our entrees came. The mac & cheese is also amazing. I enjoyed my steak, but I must say the calamari and Mac & cheese brought me the most joy. The drinks are also very strong! I couldn’t even finish mine. A+ service as well.

This place is amazing! I wish I could give it 10 stars!! I had a mac and cheese takeout from here – IT WAS WOW!!!! I was only going to eat half of the mac and cheese and then save the remaining half for the following day but then literally I found myself tucking into the second half about 10 minutes after I promised myself that I would stop! Excellent customer service, really nice people. Great communication skills too. I really appreciate the lovely woman serving me telling me that it would take about 20 minutes. I was able to get an errand done in the meantime. Please go here people!!! Don't be shy!

Why can't my waiters wear masks anymore. Really is that too much to ask for?
For $360 for a couple it should be much better. Nothing was wrong but it was more like a $160 place for the taste
The soups were the best things we had. The steaks were cooked perfectly but the quality was not the same as a good steakhouse.
The place is nice looking. The service was good.
However I would only go back if I had to. I can have a much better meal for that price.

My wife and I frequent this particular location often and normally I would leave a 5 star but I regretfully must do otherwise. My wife and I rarely go out but tonight we had an opportunity and decided to take advantage of a gift card. The first inkling of an issue was that they ran out of rib eyes. The server expertly gave me an option and it was good. The real problem, however, arose with the cream spinach. Someone left wax paper in the cream spinach and my wife chewed on it until she realized that something was wrong. We told our server without making a scene and he informed the manager. We weren’t looking for anything but this is a high end restaurant known for customer service. Her response was less then acceptable considering how this restaurant prides itself on customer service. This is not something that should happen and she was very lucky we were not the kind of people who would make a scene. This situation was and should be a wake up call to them and I hope they will learn from this experience. We definitely won’t be back for a while.

Update 2/2021
Outdoor winter brunch, pretty good setup. Heaters overhead might be preferable… but it was bearable on a 34° February Sunday.
Reliable brunch spot in Nomad but BUSY so make a reservation! Staff can seem a bit overwhelmed during the height of brunch but good service and good food.

I wish I remembered the waiters name, so… Sorry I can't call you out specifically. Top 5 best service I've ever had at a restaurant. Wait staff was epic. Had apps and drinks, no Mains. Still treated me like I was top tier. That said, the fried calamari was good. Served with a sauce I thought to be a bit unusual, but turned out to be very good.

First time returning to The Smith since the pandemic. I was happy to know that the food and service had not changed. The places was busy and lively for a Monday night.

I went there a few weeks ago to celebrate a birthday for that same individual as a prior review (a very fortunate individual). We were a large party and reserved the wine vault which was a wonderful experience. The service was impeccable, and despite being completely secluded from the rest of the dining hall our servers never missed a beat. The food was wonderfully cooked, the seafood tower was impressive, and the drinks were fantastic. Ultimately, it’s the service that stands out and I will certainly revisit this location.

Incredible staff and atmosphere. So much amazing food as well. The burger is very popular, but honestly not very good to me. The meat isn't seasoned, so the burger is dependent on the other toppings. Your meat should always be able to stand on its own first. But either way, everything else I've had here was delicious!

The food was really good. The wait wasn’t long at all although they said it would be a 45 Minute wait while they had a full house. The GRITS are so fire. I was skeptical because i only eat my granny grits but my date had it with the pork chops and it was incredible. They need to give more than two scoops because i ended up liking my dates plate 🙄🙄

When we got to the restaurant there weren’t any tables available for our party(of 7). They sat us at the bar and asked if we wanted to move to a table. Initially we said no, but we decided later on that we would like to be moved so we could all communicate better. The owner/manager said it was no problem at all and there was a table getting ready to leave. We got service from both of the G’s, big G and little G. Both of them were great! The menu was simple and had some really good options. We all enjoyed what we ordered and brought home some leftovers. All in all it was a great experience

Found this place while exploring with my son and we were both very pleased with our discovery. First off, our server was a great guy. Add to that the fact that the food was excellent. My son is a fan of trying wings from many of the places we dine and he really enjoyed O'Hara's (buffalo). Our burgers were perfect and satisfying. To end it all our server (wish I had caught his name) shared a book full of 9/11 remembrances. It was a bit sad for me but fascinating to my son. A neat little piece of history – the pub and the book. Kudos!

My friend came in town and we wanted to grab a bite near her hotel. We stopped in for a late lunch and we didn’t want to leave because of the warm hospitality, food and drinks. Hakeem was our server and he is hands down “the best server”!!! Not sure what to order? Drinks – The Golden Hour, Lady Lavender, The Henry. Food: Salmon, The Wagyu Burger, Dessert: New York Style Cheesecake & Hakeem’s favorite: Sticky Toffee Pudding. All of the food was flavorful and served hot. Later through the evening Marcella came to check on us and she was such a gem 💎. You will enjoy yourself!!! Remember: Enter on Cedar Street.

My husband and I had our post elopement reception at Trinity Place on Saturday, September 18, 2021. The management at this facility was so good about rescheduling our event from 2020 and honoring our pre-pandemic contract. They worked with us through numerous obstacles and the every changing vaccine restrictions in NYC. Even though our 2021 date was less than 3 weeks after their reopening, the staff was on top of their game. They were quick, professional and courteous. The food, as always, was top notch in quality. Guests had nothing but glowing reviews regarding the atmosphere, service, food and drinks. I highly recommend Trinity Place Bar & Restaurant for a special event or just a dinner out with friends. You won’t be disappointed.

Tasty food, generous prices, competitive pricing, and attentive service. The only challenge we had in our meal was when it came to dessert. While we realize that restaurants have had to reduce offerings, they have not. They had a regular offering of specials. But, back to dessert. Hillstone had two offerings: one magnificently rich hot fudge sundae and another key lime pie. No mindfulness of those who are concerned with sugar intake. Further, will Hillstone ever bring back decaffeinated coffee? Is decaf coffee that expensive to purchase and the customer appeal low? They did not even have decaf cappuccino. We had to settle for tasteless decaf tea. A disappointing end to a great meal.

Excellent burgers and fries. Love the glass walls allowing you to people watch, which in NYC, there is always plenty to see. Spend the extra money and sub out the regular fries with sweet potato fries. The regular fries are great but the sweet potato ones also come with a maple syrup sauce that is too die for!

Solid burger and fries place with clean and spacious interior.
Got the Big Schnipp burger with cheese fries. Although both were nice and good for a quick bite, there was nothing unique about the burger or the fries to write home about. With both beef patties extremely juicy and tender, it was difficult to hold everything together, but definitely worth digging in. They could've done a better job with the veggie portions as I could barely taste the tomato and the onions, but otherwise it was a solid burger. Cheese fries were somewhat similar to animal fries from In N Out without the bacon.

It's good. I was there for Sunday brunch. The drinks were ok and the food was different, interesting, and ok. The atmosphere is very hipster, the place is very cool inside. Idk, the food flavors and drinks left me wanting a little more. With the cool vibe I guess I wanted my food/drink palette to match the cool vibe of the place. I ordered a skillet with sweet potatoes and my partner ordered an eggs benny of some kind (I think it was crab cakes). He ordered a double vodka with oj and it was but a double. I ordered two different brunch drinks and they were ok. The coffee was good! Service was ok. Idk, something was missing.

Good steak with a polite and fast service. Sides are huge. Classy and casual at the same time, but non pretentious. Also, they don’t judge customers as my husband and I walked in there all scruffy, tired and wanted a good steak for dinner. Pricey but worth it because the food is good and service is good too. Environment is good.

Delicious food, fantastic service. They serve seafood and drinks on dry ice so it looks cool and smokes when it’s coming out. Their scallops are impeccable, as are their lobster and crab dishes. They also offer a “seafood” tower which was impressive as well. I wish the crab cakes were a bit more substantial, but good nonetheless. Their Irish coffee was good too, as was their lemon drop cocktail. I would recommend if you are in the area and looking for a fancy place to unwind and try some of their unique spins on classic seafood dishes.

A truly splendid restaurant! The prices, especially given the high quality, are fair. And there's a well-selected list of menus, fairly priced as well. Their workers were very competent and polite as well. Many thanks, boys! I'm going to give your amazing service a five-star satisfaction rating. The restaurant is highly recommended!

I went to Ocean Prime tonight for takeout and I almost missed the ordering cut-off time. However, Nicole was very accommodating and made sure my order was secured. This was my free night to treat myself and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend others to this location for future dining. Great staff, amazing food, beautiful ambiance (but are we even surprised?), and most importantly Nicole went above and beyond to make sure my night was complete with this food. Thanks a lot. 5 stars!

My first trip to Ocean Prime since the pandemic began. Always good… they may have become better. Staff has always been extremely accomodating and pleasant, and that hasn't changed. Their Lobster Mac-n-Cheese is still a superior dish, and their Bubbles & Berries cocktail continues to be an entertaining “must have.” A very pleasant new caveat, is their music selection. It made the experience incredible. So much so, that when I commented to the staff, how phenomenal the music was… they let me know how much they now enjoy the music. Ocean Prime is a beautiful experience to have.
