I just left Public Storage in Island Park. What a great experience!! A gentleman named Trini helped me open a new account for a storage unit and he was helpful, patient and very knowledgeable. He answered all of my questions and even ones I’d didn’t know I had. Highly recommend the Public Storage in Island Park.

Great place- clean, freshly painted and paved, nice app. BUT! Truly the best part is Trini and his team. Something unfortunate happened to some items but I have zero complaints and instead only compliments because Trini managed everything with such incredible understanding and worked so hard for a happy resolution. I’d recommend this place without question because of the amazing people who work here.

Upon my arrival at the CubeSmart location in Mt.Vernon, I was greeted with a warm welcome. I had the pleasure of a tour of the facility with a gentleman by the name of Raheem (Hope I spelled his name correctly), who explained clear and in full detail to me what my options were. He and his staff were very courteous and demonstrated a high level of professionalism. Facility is well lit, clean, and safe. I recommend.

The manager, Rahuim, was very friendly and helpful. We got there only a few minutes before the office was closing, and he got us set up for moving day.
We were mostly trying to make sure we could get in but he made sure to show us the storage space, and we saw that it was a clean and well-run place. Thanks!

I just rented a unit today from Liz at the Mount Vernon NY location

She was exceptional from our telephone conversation when I booked with her facility prior to deciding which location or which company I should go to to have my items stored.

Meeting her today was no different
She remained professional
Courteous and exceptional despite unfavorable circumstances she made what could have been a challenging situation smooth and everything worked out

This is not my first experience with a storage company
But it was my BEST experience thus far.
As a business owner myself I strive to remind my employees that customer service is what I’d the most important
FIRST EXPERIENCE is the BEST Experience

I can see Liz excelling in any career
And she stood out as an exceptional employee worthy of recognition!!!

Excellent Service:

I would like to share my great experience at Cube Smart Self storage on 95 Woodfield Rd, Hempstead, NY 11552. I have been their customer for 4 years and have been very satisfied with their services. Their manager Ms. Jennifer, is an excellent employee who always has given me an outstanding service every time I need any help with. She is a very good manager and also a good person as she listens to her customers’ needs/concerns and comes up with a best solution. All her staff are nice there as well including Mr. ED. They keep the place clean and in good condition. I was very impressed by their outstanding service and the best care for me. I would recommend this store to anybody.

I’ve had a space in this location for 5 years. The place is clean and well maintained. The price is commensurate with what is out there on the market. The price increases are usually reasonable, and the 1 time it seemed excessive I called and it was adjusted. Just had to take a second space and it was accomplished in a 2 minute phone call with a super INTRODUCTORY RATE. Yes I realize it is a teaser rate not to last the years I will keep this space. No I have no relation to self storage only a satisfied customer.

I have to start with saying that the employees here in the Baldwin place are nothing less than AMAZING and extremely helpful!!! But to me the smart cube storage gets negative 10 stars and 10 thumbs down for NOT appreciating loyal customers as myself… first things first I’ve had a unit at this place for over 15 years… I started with a outside unit (10×20 or alittle bigger) where I was paying over $350 a month faithfully for a couple years till hurricane sandy hit and I lost everything WITHOUT putting a claim in… Since then till now I’ve had a inside unit that also pays a few hundred a month… even through the whole pandemic I’ve always paid my unit on time, not that this place has ever offered any consideration but to top it off my rate was recently increased over $30 a month, like wow…. and no I’m not petty but I feel that considering the timing and the fact that I’ve been a loyal customer for over 15 years, this increase was like spit to the face…

By far the best customer service I’ve experienced in New York City. Victor the manager of the East Williamsburg location on Grand St is the man! I was running a few min behind and he waited so that I could settle my account. Very professional, calm demeanor and communicates clearly with a solution-oriented mindset. Another employee I opened the acct with was a gem and now closing the acct I was met with nothing but the very best of service. Would highly recommend not only this location but safeguard in general for anyone looking to store for short or long period of time.

Samuel was amazing! He’s extremely kind and patient. We came in at the end of the month, so it was very busy. He helped a nice disabled lady into her car, helped us swiftly change units to a bigger size, and even gave us a hand in our move. All employees everywhere should be as kind as Samuel!

I needed to get a storage room asap and public storage was the closest to me as i had to leave the country. I found this place convenient and easy to deal with. I went I online, purchased a unit and received all the info I needed. The lady N ofir were very helpful with showing me around and giving me information. Definitely recommend this location.

Facility is less than 13 years old, so everything is up to date, clean, and very well maintained. Customer service is always top notch here. Just upgraded/switched units and dealt w/new rep there by the name of Victor, who went above and beyond the already excellent customer service I’m used to there, which prompted me to write a review, which I do not normally do at all. Highly recommend. Good prices, good promotions, great reps!

Only issue I have ever had with Safeguard is the annoying motion detect light sensors, which can sometimes do a bad job of detecting (not all corridors have them) and the fact that the rental fee for my original unit was raised due to “operational costs” before I’d even been in the unit for 8 months.

He was able to answer my questions and assure me that I can keep my things in a unit with secure services. He was understanding and also spoke with care and concern. I was in a bind — 3 hours on the road to the storage unit and showed up to the location 10 minutes after close due to traffic. I was able to call the location and connect with David prior to close who was understanding and kept the place open & hung around for an extra 30 minutes to help me unpack my items and avoid having to drive another 3 hours the following day due to my tardiness. David was extremely pleasant and helpful — he was a 12 out of 10 from a customer service perspective. This is the type of customer service you want to see across any business…he was excellent and saved me so much time, energy & stress…I will continue to use them as long as David is there!

the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I appreciate that. The reason for the 3 stars is because. As soon as I opened locker I saw mouse droppings all over the container. I decided I wouldn’t leave clothes bc I couldn’t chance anything getting ruined. So as much as the staff was great I’m very upset about the dirty container and may just decide to leave my stuff elsewhere. I refuse to put my clothes I to that container and that defeats my purpose for having storage in the first place…
Not expecting use dropping on the 4th container from the top… either way. Can’t

Positive: Great price compared to other storage providers. I recently decided to use this facility and move contents of my storage unit. It is clean.

It Needs improvements in the following areas:

I had to use the docking area. If I had physical challenges, it would have been impossible to climb or carry boxes to the loading carts.
This facility is best suited for trucks to move items.
I checked the other entry points and there isn’t flat ground level loading area. The other entries have stairs (imagine having to carry boxes!) or very steep incline!

The first day I got lost trying to find my locker. It’s a bit of a maze. The numbers aren’t sequential! I had to call the office (got call service), a gentleman came and helped me locate it. The elevators aren’t numbered. I ended up at another area the first day while trying to exit… Eventually I figured out there was another elevator taking you to the docking area exit!
It helps having groups of #s as well as markings and a map by each elevator! Please have a number allocated to each elevator.

The third trip, I had to call the office for a cart to load my boxes.
For better client service:
With all the security cameras, the office should be aware that there aren’t enough loading carts and make sure to have enough and not having to call the office (goes to call center)!

Overall, I find it challenging using this facility. I hate having to climb the docking area to get to my storage unit.

I hope they take into consideration the above improvements for better client experience.
NOTE: I gave 5 stars, hoping they will take the above suggestions seriously.

The only person that knows what’s going on at this place is Erik. Everyone else is a clown, and Erik is busy doing other things leaving the rest of the employees to muddle around and do nothing but waste your time.
The shortage of dollies make it impossible for everyone that needs one to have access to their storage units. There were customers that waited so long for a dolly that they never could unload – and then the place closed. There are no lights in the units, so you had better bring your own. All in all it was a horrible experience.

They don’t shovel when it snows,nor will they put down salt so you don’t slip. The garage where I’m supposed be able to pull my car in has been broken forever and it doesn’t look like it’s ever going to get fixed! I’ve spoken to the manager several times and sent pics,didn’t care didn’t offer me a discount for all the months the garage has been broken. And let’s not forget it closes at 4 ,5 and 6pm ya because normally people are home from work at 6pm rykm!!!! That’s why it’s the cheapest around you need to take the day off of work to get your stuff in n out! Uggghhh

Kathy? A LIFESAVER! This by far has been my best storage experience. For one, I got a great deal on a much larger unit than expected, and customer service was on point from start to finish. I initially spoke with Barbara (I believe) and she was very sweet and explained everything in detail, didn’t miss a beat. Upon move in, Kathy made sure to get me locked in as quickly as possible (since I was using my own movers $$$$$) and was so warm and friendly. Especially after a hectic day of moving, it was nice to be met with a friendly face! I feel absolutely safe and secured knowing all my belongings are being held at this location with such a trusting and warm staff.

20/10 recommend this location, and most especially this staff. If I ever need another unit after this one? I’m sticking with them for sure. Thank you, Barbara and Kathy!!!

I had a very positive experience at this location yesterday. We had a super stressful moving day (movers ghosted us & we had to find last minute help) & we were cutting it extremely close time-wise. The elevator shut off right at 6:45 (closing time) but a staff member (I believe Kathy) saw the situation we were in & came to re-activate the elevator so we could finish our drop off.

I am NOT suggesting others should show up at closing lol, all I’m saying is that the staff really came through for us & we were so grateful. All the staff were very friendly, & made our day much less stressful.

In addition there was plentiful use of carts, & it was refreshingly air conditioned on the inside. Our unit was more than big enough for our stuff. 5 stars.
